Yoga Rush - Karen Hughes

About Karen Hughes

I first came to yoga as a runner to help recover from injury and to build my flexibility but soon realized that it helped with more than just the physical aspects of what my body needed. I discovered an amazing community of people, all different in their styles of yoga and life but connected just the same.

It did not take me long to realize that I wanted to give back to others what my yoga teachers were opening up to me and began my teacher training. My certification is in Hatha and Restorative Yoga; my classes and style varies from traditional to flow to deep stretch.

A little bit more about me:

I love music and bring that love into my classes and into my practice. Yoga helps me to smile at our crazy busy world, ground myself; connect with my breath; move; and above all have fun.

Off my mat I am part of the corporate world with hectic schedules and deadlines; after hours I love to be with my family and friends. I enjoy trying new things that put me outside my comfort zone and challenge me both physically and mentally.
