I found yoga back in 2008 when I had little to no balance in my life. I was a full time University student and working as much as possible in radio. In 2011 I left Calgary for Vancouver and soon after, decided to change careers and become a full time yoga instructor.

During my first year of teaching I found that the people who needed yoga the most were unable to attend regular classes due to busy schedules.

I started Yoga Rush so busy professionals would have access to quality health and wellness programs in the work place.

I discovered and immersed myself in yoga 7 years ago to help some dance injuries and found it healed my body and mind. I love to incorporate my dance background into my Yoga, combining the healing aspects of Yoga with the artistic expressive components of Dance. I enjoy being creative, having fun and flowing with the breath. During my 13 years of teaching, I have taught dancers, skaters, gymnasts, Cross fit members and school children in Canada and Australia.

I first fell in love with the physical practice of yoga after stepping onto my mat in 2009 and two years later received my 200-hour Hatha yoga teacher certification.

It was during this training while delving deeper into yoga philosophy that I began to truly understand yoga’s unique transformative power.

Yoga has taught me to become aware of my actions and to be mindful and present in all areas of my life. My classes tend to be a blend of different yoga styles with the major emphasis being on connection to the breath and using your breath to help link the body and the mind as you move through your poses dynamically with intention.

I first came to yoga as a runner to help recover from injury and to build my flexibility but soon realized that it helped with more than just the physical aspects of what my body needed. I discovered an amazing community of people, all different in their styles of yoga and life but connected just the same.

It did not take me long to realize that I wanted to give back to others what my yoga teachers were opening up to me and began my teacher training. My certification is in Hatha and Restorative Yoga; my classes and style varies from traditional to flow to deep stretch.
